Start simple
The built-in Mac microphone is often the best first choice.
Use one main mic before testing extra gear.
In Amnis
- Open Settings and choose the input you want.
- Speak at a normal distance.
- Watch for live activity before testing a full dictation.
If Amnis hears nothing
- Check the macOS microphone permission.
- Make sure the device is not muted.
- Switch to another input to confirm whether the issue is device-specific.
