Use a shortcut you can hit without thinking.
Modifier-heavy shortcuts are usually easier to keep permission-safe.
When a shortcut needs more access
Some printable-key shortcuts need Input Monitoring on macOS.
If you do not want that extra permission, switch to a simpler combo.
If it never triggers
- Check that the shortcut saved correctly.
- Check whether macOS blocked the needed permission.
- Test a different shortcut to confirm whether the original combo is the problem.
